A range of four sizes of plastic mesh cage type feeders in a range of weights from 15g to 40g.
Aimed at both stillwater and river use with a variety of baits and for a variety of species. For example, they can be used very effectively with chopped worm and caster when targeting skimmers & bream, with liquidised bread for chub in winter, fishmeal, and pellets for barbel and also cubed meat or “Sticky” maggot for carp. Anything which can be held in place inside the feeder, especially when plugged at either end with a type of crumb or cereal etc.
Being an open, mesh bodied feeder, they will empty much quicker than solid bodied feeders and can create a cloud throughout the water column if required. This can also be used to create a column of feed travelling downstream in rivers to attract fish from below you and encourage them to swim upstream and find your bait. Thereafter, possibly switching to a solid bodied Groundbait Feeder to help keep those fish where you want them. The biggest Extra Large bodied feeder is very useful when you want to cast repeatedly to deposit a lot of feed quickly before switching over to a smaller physical size.
The secure boom is flexible, which helps when filling the feeder, as it flexes enough to move out of the way for single-handed scooping and filling. The medium-sized eye on the swivel is very helpful for anyone who has the feeder threaded onto the mainline, as it helps to prevent clogging due to any weed and/or rubbish coming down the mainline. This can be a problem on winter rivers when they are carrying extra water. It also allows the use of a Clip or Snap link swivel more easily, with less fiddling when trying to attach the two parts.
The holes running along the bottom of each feeder are also the correct size to allow you to easily attach a small Balancing Lead because for every feeder body size, these holes are all in the same size and all the same distance up from the existing weights. The existing Feeder weights are also deliberately made the exact same width as each other, at approx 20mm. This construction then provides a very neat fixing with less chance of the line being snagged or damaged. This means that the small balancing weights fit every body size and both of our Feeder types, ensuring that you don’t need to carry a multitude of extra weight sizes & shapes to fit with different feeders.
The body and weight sizes are the same as the equivalent “solid” bodied Groundbait Feeders, so you can change like-for-like.
Actual sizes available with their approximate weights are:
- Small 15g, 50g, 25g
- Medium 20g, 25g, 30g
- Large 20g, 25g, 30g, 40g
- Extra Large 30g, 40g
