C9 are a great ‘Shallow’ water float and almost, but not quite, a shorter, slightly fatter, version of our C7 and so still like an elongated Dibber type float. Overall lengths are roughly between 65mm to 80mm long so between C7 and C8 in length.
These are more sensitive than fatter Dibber floats like C8 and similar, but shorter and a bit thicker, to C7. The top of the balsa is still machined down to make a thinner shaped tip but are shorter than those of C7. These are a great choice for very shallow margin fishing and also across towards features etc. There are still even shorter floats which can be better suited to really shallow water but these are probably, currently at time of writing, the most versatile of the shallow water or Dibber type floats in the ‘C’ series range. The short balsa tips will still support decent sized baits well but these are a more refined type of short all balsa Dibber. To be honest, if you just needed one short, all-balsa Dibber or Margin style float as your ‘Go – to’ or ‘Utility’ float then this is likely it.
